Emma Bridgewater’s journey began in 1984, in London, where her desire to make her distinctive self-designed pottery pointed her in the direction of Stoke-on-Trent.
Although Emma is not originally from the city, she represents how effectively someone from outside Stoke-on-Trent can contribute so much to our local community. This attribute is mirrored within our diverse Academy community where each and every one of us is able to contribute to our success.
Our house system creates a sense of belonging to our Academy, promoting a culture of mutual respect whilst allowing healthy competition. My role of Head of House is to ensure that all students and staff are involved in charity fundraising, large events and to encourage everyone to get involved in their wider community whenever possible, and celebrate their success.
