Open Evening Invitation
Dear Parents and Carers,
Your son or daughter is due to transfer to secondary school for the next phase of their education either in 2019 or 2020. To help with this transition you are invited to visit Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent’s Open Evening on Thursday 27th September 2018 which runs from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. The evening will comprise of a short introduction by the Principal Mr Lowry. Prospective parents will then have the opportunity to meet staff and students and see what the Co-op Academy has to offer your son/daughter. There will be two start times for the introductory presentation; the first at 5:00pm and the second at 6:00pm. Please plan to arrive for one of these times, after which there will be a tour of the Academy.
Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent is a very popular, successful and caring academy. We have state of the art facilities in our magnificent £23 million building. We are growing from strength to strength each year and we are proud of what we do and how our students achieve. Ofsted rate us as “good with outstanding features”, specifically personal development, behaviour and welfare is deemed to be “outstanding”. In addition, we are currently the highest attaining secondary school in the north of Stoke-on-Trent and have some of the highest rates of student progress in Stoke-on-Trent or Staffordshire.
If your child is due to transfer next year, I strongly recommend that you register your request for a place to be reserved as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We were almost over-subscribed on first preferences for a 2018 start and we expect 2019 to be the same. As a new member of our Academy your son or daughter will be invited to attend a number of transition days and will be issued with a free uniform and PE kit to support his or her integration.
If you are unable to make the Open Evening, please contact the office to arrange a tour on firstname.lastname@example.org.
The staff and students look forward to welcoming you.
