Phonics & Reading Recovery Teacher

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our incredibly successful Reading Recovery Team.  Since the pandemic, the Academy has given reading the very highest priority: we know that it is the key to unlocking opportunity for our fantastic students.  In turn, we have invested heavily in reading across our Academy, making it a central focus of everything that we do, and it is routinely recognised as a beacon of excellence.

A key part of our strategy is ensuring those children who arrive at the Academy unable to read, catch up quickly so that they are not disadvantaged.  We see this as a moral responsibility to our students.  Working under the guidance of our Head of Reading Recovery, and alongside our existing Reading Recovery Teacher, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a massive difference to the lives of the young people at our Academy.

We particularly welcome applications from primary trained colleagues who have training and experience of delivering phonics teaching to children.

If you wish to visit the Academy before applying, please email the HR Advisor, Miss K Hollinshead in advance on kym.hollinshead@coopacademies.co.uk

If you feel this job is for you, your completed application via the TES Application Link should be received by 9am Monday 29th April 2024.

Interviews to take place w/b: TBC
