KS4 Options
You now have the opportunity to choose subjects that inspire, motivate and challenge you.
This is a very exciting time in your life at the Academy. Your journey through Key Stage 3 has brought you to this key moment where you begin to make decisions for your future. You now have the opportunity to choose subjects that inspire, motivate and challenge you. This will be the first of many decisions you will make in deciding your future.
There are some subjects you will continue to study. These are English Language, English Literature, Maths, Science, PSHE and Practical P.E. These are essential for your next steps and will enhance the subject choices you do make.
You will now have responsibility to ‘opt’, with guidance, for other subjects. Some subjects will be familiar to you whilst others may be new to you. However you choose, these subjects will continue to develop you academically and personally for the rest of your journey with us. Some students will be required to opt for specific subjects to ensure that you have a range of qualifications for the future.
You will complete your options online using Google Form. You are well-placed to make an informed choice following presentations from staff explaining the subjects they offer; what they expect from you; what qualifications you will gain; and the potential courses and careers this subject can lead to.
