Community Event – CounterCoin Challenge
This Wednesday (21st) we will be opening our doors to the local community and inviting everyone in to take part in the Counter Coin Challenge.
Workshops are taking place across 7 venues in Longton; Fenton; Burslem; Tunstall; Hanley; Stoke and Newcastle-under-Lyme. The challenge is to see which town can make the most clay coins. Each coin will bear the stamp of the town in which it is made. The winner will be announced at 7pm on the day.
The event will be a drop-in style workshop that is between 4pm and 6:30pm.
Come and join us to see how many coins we can make!
The aims of the challenge are to…
- Raise the community’s awareness that CounterCoin values; incentivises and rewards acts of volunteering that have a positive social impact within the community.
- Contributes to a more sustainable local economy.
- Promotes Stoke-on-Trent as a place with rich economic heritage and a bright economic future.
- Bring the community together.
