Numeracy Week Celebrations: Pi Day Competition Success
As part of Numeracy Week, students at Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent took part in an exciting Pi Day competition on 14th March, testing their memory and mathematical skills by recalling as many digits of Pi as possible.
The competition was fierce, with students across year groups challenging themselves to beat previous records. In an incredible display of memory and determination, Marwan in Year 9 emerged victorious, breaking the academy’s previous record by correctly recalling 120 digits of Pi. An outstanding achievement!
We are so proud of all the students who took part, showing enthusiasm and perseverance in celebrating the beauty of mathematics. A huge well done to Marwan for his record-breaking performance—we can’t wait to see if anyone can beat his total next year!
